Where Jesus Walked - Day 7 |
|
The country of Israel is so vastly different from one end to the other. We started our tour in the north at the Sea of Galilee, a region that is lush and beautiful. Next we went up to Jerusalem (one always goes up to Jerusalem) where it is still green but has many more mountains. Today we went from almost 3000 feet above sea level at Jerusalem to almost 1200 below sea level at the Dead Sea. |

Where Jesus Walked - Day 6 |
We started the day by visiting the Bethsaida Pool where the paralytic and lame people would lay every day waiting for the Angel of the Lord to stir the water and the first one in the pool would be healed. It was this very place where Jesus told a paralytic man to get up and walk because his faith had healed him. It is awe-inspiring to think I stood in that very place. |

Our schedule was changed today so we did not go to the Dead Sea but we had an amazing day visiting holy sites in Jerusalem. This has been life changing to walk in the very places where Jesus walked. |

Where Jesus Walked - Day 4 |
|
Today started off a bit slow, but ended unbelievably. This morning we left Tiberius and Galilee headed toward Jerusalem. It was amazing how much the countryside changed as we traveled south along the Jordan River. The lush green mountains of the Golan Heights quickly gave way to parched desert giving me a fuller understanding of what it must have been like to travel this country 2000 years ago without the comfort of an air-conditioned bus. |
