Helping Hands of Paulding Recieves a Helping Hand from Fellowship
From the Dallas New Era...

Recently Broddie Calhoun, the Youth Pastor of Fellowship United Methodist Church, and youth leader Ms. Nymol Ou brought a group of their youth to assist Andrea Watson, the interim director for Helping Hands after the close of business.

Ms. Watson stated, "The young people in this youth group were serious about their ministry to Helping Hands.  They cleaned bathrooms, dusted and mopped floors.  They served God by serving others."

When asked about the service provided by the church's youth group, Mr. Calhoun said, "It was a joy to help.  Cleaning the facility was an expression of our love for people.  God is the solution and we want to be His hands and His Feet."

Beverly Cochran, the President of the non-profit organization had been coordinating their efforts with Ms. Ou and stated, "We truly appreciate the efforts of these young people.  They were able to see first hand that there is much more to operating a non-profit than just greeting the clients, reviewing their applications, and providing food and financial assistance, and that giving of themselves is as important as giving of their money."

If you would like to know more about volunteer opportunities please contact Andrea Watson at 770-443-1230.

Way to go Fellowship Students!!!!

Step It Up

Less is more. We're fond of saying that around here. And much of the time, we're more effective living by it. But sometimes MORE is more. Want a voluminous vocabulary? Read more. Want to nail the lines for your part in a sketch? Rehearse more. Want to master the "Cha Cha Slide" (like for March's large group, grades 4-5)? Practice more. You get the drift. And just like you need to lift more if you want bigger biceps, you need to do some things more if you want to know God better, like:
