Where Jesus Walked - Day 2 | Where Jesus Walked - Day 2 |

Wow! Today was a whirlwind tour of many holy places. We started out by going to Ceasarea, the oldest harbor in Israel where Paul was imprisoned and appealed to be taken to Rome and tried. There was an arena where they held chariot races and sporting matches. Then it was off to see an aquaduct that was built by Pontius Pilot to bring water from Mt Carmel to Ceasarea. In the town of Nazareth wevisited the church that is built over the house Mary lived in when the angel appeared to her, announcing that she would conceive of a child born of God. We also visited the synagogue where Jesus preached when he was in town.At Migedeo we say a first century pagan temple ruins and an altar where they performed sacrifices. Migedeo also overlooks the Valley of Armagededon where Joshua defeated 31 kings and where the final battle with the anti-Christ will take place. Had samples of wine in the city of Caana where Jesus turned water into wine for a wedding feast, his first miracle. I also bought some Caana wine to use for Holy Communion at Fellowship Church. It has been amazing to see these place where our Lord lived and minstered to so many....and it is only the 2nd day! It is all beginning to sink in a little bit of where I actually am. Looking forward to tomorrow with a cruise on the sea of Galilee. |
